We're not going to win many games this year but I hope we can end the 2014 season with some positives. I want to see Jon Singleton called up to play first base some time this year. We're probably going to cost ourselves the first overall pick in the 2015 MLB Draft though.

Collin McHugh has retired 14 Oakland hitters in a row.

Seven shutout innings. 6 Ks now. Still 1 hit allowed. 1-0 Astros in the middle of the 7th
I hope he can finish the deal and go the distance. Our bullpen will blow this game easy.

kids straight dealin'.
hes already thrown 93 pitches tho, and hes a rook, so i doubt the'll let him go much longer.

Bo Porter took him out after 89 pitches in his first start so you may be right. Josh Fields is unavailable today with a strained Quadriceps muscle. I'm not sure if that is good or bad. He hasn't been a very reliable closer to begin with. Josh Fields has a 9.64 ERA and is awful. I'm not sure who's going to pitch the top of the 8th. Typical Astros are batting around for a long time in the bottom of the 7th and probably won't score.

Oh sweet. A clutch two-out, two-run triple for Jonathan Villar. 3-0 Astros in the bottom of the 7th.

The Astros have never won two games in a row against the Athletics before. LOL. I'm still nervous though. Unless they allow McHugh to pitch the 8th inning. He's retired 14 hitters in a row. I wouldn't take him out unless he allows a guy to get on base.

Two-run home run for Jose Altuve. 5-0 Astros in the bottom of the 7th.

The Astros have been batting in the bottom of the 7th for 20 minutes just about.
They're still batting with two outs. Collin McHugh could be done with all that down time.

well although he has retired 14 straight, i noticed he was throwing a lot more balls (like in the beginning the game), and he lost a few mph on his FB. so he might be tiring.

that has to be so demoralizing giving up a HR to a guy whos like 5'6 lmao.

George Springer popped up with two on base. The Astros scored 4 and 9 men came up to bat.
The bottom of the 7th finally ended. I wonder who will come in to pitch now. Likely the bullpen.
