You go ahead and quote me on that in late September. You can quote me on that for the September of the next 3 years.

The Mariners are not a good team. Even if you are better than us that isn't saying much. I doubt the Mariners will win the season series with the Astros this year. But if you do congrats on beating a team with only a fraction of your payroll.

I sort of expect Seattle to win today. I don't even remember the last time the Astros swept anybody. LOL
And plus Robinson Cano struck out three times last night but then crushed a ball 450-feet foul in the 9th inning.
Seems like the hitters for the Mariners will break out soon. I just hope it isn't against Jarred Cosart in today's game.

The Astros have been the worst team in baseball since 2011. Three straight 100+loss seasons. A franchise worst 51-111 last year. I would like to enjoy one day of not being in last place in the American League West. That's the only reason I want to see them win today. It has nothing to do with a sweep or beating Seattle in general. I just want to see Houston at 8-14 and Seattle at 7-14 after today's game.

Even if it's only for 24 hours and we get spanked by Oakland tomorrow night and go back to last place in the division I'll have enjoyed it for 24 hours. People don't understand when you're an Astros fan like me you have to take any little good thing you can get. It's hard to watch them play otherwise.

The truth is I'm just trying to enjoy some baseball. I know by June the 1st we'll be out of playoff contention and it's going to be a long and hot summer.

I feel for you man, I remember when the Expos were here.. Was so hard to find something to cheer about, they were so awful the years leading up to their departure.

Baseball is an unforgiving sport. When your favorite team is bad it seems like the long 162-game season will never end. When you can put together any winning streak you have to enjoy it while you can. For the Astros, they've had a two-game winning streak only twice this year. Right now and when they beat the Yankees in the opening series. If they can somehow make it a three-game winning streak with a win today that would obviously be their longest of the season. They may not see another one for a long time.

I love those burnt orange road jerseys the Astros are wearing today. It can look a little weird on HD TV though.
Looks like this ballgame is going to turn into a pitcher's duel. Both Jarred Cosart and Chris Young look sharp so far.

Jarred Cosart had a little scare when his back appeared to tighten up. He stayed in the game and has retired the first six hitters he's seen.

0-0 in the top of the 3rd

LOL, at the pace this ballgame is going it will be over in about two hours.
