Everyone seems to be attributing this to come up to early/young/unprepared. Personally I do not buy this philosophy. If a player is expected to be a major leaguer at the caliber some of these guys are expected. What good does sitting in Tacoma, falsifying numbers.
If they are intended to learn there, they can learn just as well here. Definitely won't hurt us as a team offensively. Shit, playing the Asstros so much is like playing a minor league team.
I would say the problem is contrasting philosophies on each level of the organization, coaches not teaching the same thing, basically not all on the same page.
Being in Tacoma can make it so you can learn in a low pressure environment. That way you can try new things without worrying about screwing up the big leagues.

Lol I know what you meant, It's crazy how many top guys have flopped in Seattle (Recent years). Smoak,Montero,Ackley
Just some tough luck? or bad scouting?
It could be many things, it could be they are late bloomers like Chris Davis and Dominic Brown. Or it could be bad luck that they flopped, it could be bad upbringing, though Kyle seagar did fine. People are just making too big of a deal on this, most of the players are really young still. I think it gets presented as a bigger problem than it is because of the large number of prospects we have compared to other teams.
