got swept by the marlins (100+ loss team last year) and lost to the first 2 to the worst team in baseball (who we took 3 of 4 from and u or suh were all 'u played the lolastros').

The Seattle Mariners are going to have the first overall pick in the 2015 MLB Draft next June the way they are playing. Going to end our three-year long reign in that department. At least we'll have the first overall pick on June 5. I'm excited for the upcoming 2014 MLB Draft.

I think we'll draft left-handed pitcher Carlos Rodon. Looking towards the future I want to have two hard-throwing guys with good stuff anchoring the starting rotation in Mark Appel and Carlos Rodon. Even though our starting rotation is already good. You can't go wrong with more lively young arms in your organization.

I hope the Astros sweep the Mariners tomorrow afternoon. I feel bad for Seattle fans if they lose nine games in a row but I'm tired of seeing the Astros in last place. LOL

Seattle spends a King's Ransom, money wise, on two players. I think Felix Hernandez and Robinson Cano combined both make nearly the same as the Astros entire payroll this year. For that kind of money you can put together a complete team that can finish with a winning record. That's a shame if they finish with a worse record than us with that kind of superstar presence on their roster. I'd be jumping for joy if the Astros had the Mariners payroll.

The MLB.com youtube channel finally added Springer's great catch from this past Sunday. The one I posted three days ago wasn't in HD.

4/20/14: George Springer sprints in toward foul territory, dives and makes an incredible catch to rob Coco Crisp of a hit

Here's the Astros lineup for today's potential sweep at Seattle over Chris Young and the Mariners

1. Jose Altuve (R) 2B
2. Dexter Fowler (S) CF
3. Jason Castro (L) C
4. George Springer (R) RF
5. Marc Krauss (L) 1B
6. Alex Presley (L) LF
7. Chris Carter (R) DH
8. Matt Dominguez (R) 3B
9. Jonathan Villar (S) SS

Starting pitcher: Jarred Cosart

The game starts in two hours. I can't wait.

The fact that Astros can sweep anybody is a true testament to how shitty the Mariners are

There is no way in hell we will finish with a worse record than you guys...Don't even get your hopes up...Felix and Cano combined make the same as your team, sure, but they are also worth the same # of wins. For 92 million, you think you can put together a complete team? I guess you will never get a complete team then...

I'll quote you on that in late September. You may be right if the Oakland Athletics continue their dominance against the Astros. We're 5-23 all time versus them ,already 0-3 this year, and the Astros start a four-game series with the Athletics tomorrow night. We also struggle to beat the Rangers and Angels (this year).

A lot of division games left. What about our chances to finish with a winning record over the Mariners this year? That seems more realistic. We'll either be 3-0 or 2-1 against Seattle after today. I take any positives I can whenever I can find them with this year.

All I know is the Astros will not be in last place in the AL West if they win today. Even if it's only for 24 hours I'll take it.

You go ahead and quote me on that in late September. You can quote me on that for the September of the next 3 years.
