Exactly, he wasn't really tearing the cover off the ball either

He played in Tacoma which a notorious pitcher friendly park. His home/road splits reflected that as well(.446 OPS at home and 1.139 on the road).
Not that Safeco is much less of a pitcher park, but those splits are due to improve.

I think we still have a viable chance. One move after the all star break, a Hultzen call up, and all the potential coalesce with our mAAAriners and we could see some magic.

Plus we just needed a Catcher. Many people think it may be simply temporary, as not to run others ragged, and Zunino is a great catcher

The full list of players acquired by the Indians, Phillies and Mariners in trades involving Lee since July 2009 is as follows: Carlos Carrasco, Jason Donald, Lou Marson, Jason Knapp, J.C. Ramirez, Tyson Gillies, Phllippe Aumont, Justin Smoak, Josh Lueke, Blake Beavan and Matthew Lawson.

Combined Major League WAR for those players, according to Baseball Reference: 5.2.

Lee's WAR value in that time span: 22.4.

Yeah, the move makes sense. I would rather just keep him down though and use any random catcher as a breather. No point in risking the super 2 status over a couple games in what I feel was a season I already figured we would not compete in.

Sigh...Just listened to an interview of Wedge, "We are going to try and use him regularly." Meaning they are calling him up for good, atleast that's how I took it.

Well you don't call up a top guy for him to look pretty on the bench.

No shit...What I meant was that I was hoping this call up was temporary until Jesus Sucre gets off the DL and then they send Zunino back down. That looks like it won't be happening.
