Raul Valdes comes into the game in relief and walks Seager and gives up a two-run homer to Justin Smoak.

I blame Bo Porter. Our bullpen is a joke. What a way to waste Collin McHugh's amazing gem.

With two outs and nobody on base too. With 89 total pitches. It made no sense to take him out!!!!!!!

Now it's 4-2 Astros in the bottom of the 7th.

yea that was a dumb call.
i get not wanting to 'over work' him. but 89 pitches, with 2 outs and no one on. let the kid finish it... shitty.
bo porter isnt a good manager, watch when him get fired once ur team starts having the .500 expectation and they still lost 90-100 games.

Bo Porter makes another pitching change. On his third pitcher in this inning when he could have rode a hot Collin McHugh longer. He could have tried to reach the Astros record for most strikeouts in a game by a guy making his first start with the team which is 15. He was at 12. The Astros' overall record is Don Wilson with 18 strikeouts in a game. He still had an outside shot at that as well. At least Anthony Bass got the final out. 4-2 Astros going into the top of the 8th.

well no, i personally wouldnt work him that much. lol ur talking like 120+ pitches for a debut. i would have let him finish the inning tho.

edit: i dont understand how any manager in MLB would ever put a 90 pitch cap on a guy with MLB experience. u said he pitched like 9 games already right? guy was also absolutely raping the M's. 12 K's in 6.2 innings. most manager would raise that cap 10 pitches just by how dominant that outing was. bo porter is shit dude. sorry to say.

I don't trust our bullpen. LOL

Jesse Crain is expected to come off the DL next week. He's been one of the better relievers in all of baseball for the past few years (all star last year). Hopefully he can come back strong and really lead the bullpen. We can avoid 100 losses this year if he does.

Our offense is improving and our starting rotation (4th best ERA in the AL right now) is good.

We can move out of the AL West cellar with a sweep over the Mariners and we've got power-hitting first baseman Jon Singleton nearing a call up to the big leagues.

Astros have the bases loaded with one out for DH Chris Carter. Chance to get those two runs back and increase the lead.
Pitching conference on the mound for Seattle. Come on Carter. One big swing can really do some damage right now.

Chris Carter RBI single. 5-2 Astros in the top of the 8th.

Bases still juiced with one out for Matt Dominguez.

Man. Matt Domginguez popped up after fouling off five pitches. He was swinging hard too. Up to Jonathan Villar to get a big two-out hit.
