Yeah to have Salazar, Carrasco, and Brantley (granted they didn't have him most of the season) go down and to not miss a beat is amazing. That's what you need to happen though (just look at the Cardinals last year or any year).
What they lost in production they gained from other guys stepping up (Chisenhall, Ramirez, Naqin, Napoli); no idea how the pitching has been that dominant without their #2,3, and now 4(Bauer) starters.
They also play situational baseball really well which is key in the playoffs (what I hate about the Cubs). You can't rely on just hitting a bunch of homers because you're no longer facing scrub teams or pitchers. Rather top 1/2/3 and normally just the top 2 bullpen arms.
