DeGrom had a rough start, but it was to be expected. He wasn't going to be that dominant after running through so many innings.
Matz going ham in ML, going for six innings with only 1 hit, and 6 strike outs. He ended six innings with 56 pitches!?!?!? Apparently, in 3 innings Matz had been called for 16 consecutive strikes? Damn holy shit. If Matz/Thor is healthy, holy...
Cuddyer has been exactly what the doctor ordered. He said his adjustments to a certain tweak in his swing, plus the needed much rest is what he says can be attributed to his success.

David Wright says with a smile, "its definitely not me, hes putting it in all the hard work and dedication, and its finally paying off."
Can I just say, I'm so happy Flores hasn't been traded? I don't care what anybody says. But I was extremely high on Flores. I followed him 3 years ago, when the Mets had simply put him in their top 50 prospects. I remember 2 years ago, he ended up in our 14th best prospect, and remember reading his ETA: 2014-2015, so I was simply excited since most of our prospects were 2-3 years away from being called up.
Cespedes has also been a god send. Hes literally been the 5 tool player we've been searching for, since like, forever? CAN WE PLEASE SIGN HIM!?!?

When asked about negotiating a new contract with Yoenis Cespedes, Sandy Alderson told Mike Puma of the NY Post that he’s living in the moment and hasn’t thought about it.
Signing Cespedes before the season is over will be crucial. The Mets are prohibited from signing him once he hits free agency after this season due to a clause in his contract.
The trade that brought Cespedes to Queens has worked out tremendously so far as he’s been excellent at the plate. He’s batting .311 with seven home runs and a .940 OPS in 23 games with New York, and his presence in the lineup has undoubtedly energized the team.
The Mets are 17-6 since Cespedes arrived, and they have gained a 6.5 game lead over the Washington Nationals.
PAY HIM. PAY THAT MAN HIS MONEY!This post was edited by pAiLiXziX on Aug 27 2015 02:24pm
