Lost Soriano, Swisher, Chavez, Andruw Jones, Freddy Garcia and Russell Martin. Only Martin has signed with another team but the other two aren't expected back.
As far as who we are after, it's not quite clear yet. There's some mutual interest in bringing Ichiro back but Cashman seems to be waiting for a deal to fall in his lap(most likely at the Winter meetings) for a more substantial OF.
There's an obvious glaring need for a catcher but it's a really weak catching market. AJ Pierzynski is the most likely candidate but I wouldn't be surprised if Cashman went dumpster diving and picked up someone like Kotarres to platoon with Romine.
Other than that, I'd expect them to pick up a reclamation project McCarthy or Marcum as a 5th starter and hopefully another reliever(Soria has expressed interest in setting up for Mo, so a Walden-esqe incentive-laden deal would be awesome).
Cashman has also publicly said that he wants to pick up a better utility guy than Nix but there isn't really anyone on the market like that since Maicer Izituris signed with the BlueJays.
That about covers it I think.

What about Stewart?
With such an experienced rotation I think they could manage with Stewart + Romine
Granted, there won't be that much offense but then again did we have that much offense from Martin? I think we would be more or less ok defensibly.

Oh god, the last thing I want is more Stewart AB's. Romine+Stewart has legitimate disaster potential.

Nate Scheirholtz is being mentioned a lot since being waived by the Gaints and Cashman further confirmed that he's searching for a utility infielder. Knowing Cashman, rumors about a platoon OF and bench infielder probably means he's in the process of swinging a trade for Giancarlo Stanton jajaja.
