http://espn.go.com/blog/los-angeles/dodger-report/post/_/id/8182/predicting-the-future-of-dodger-free-agents?ex%5Fcid=espnapi%5Fpublic

Cool article discussing the Dodgers' free agents and what the predictions are regarding their futures.

As I stated earlier, I feel like Brian Wilson looked good enough to warrant being a closer somewhere and I doubt (and hope) the Dodgers will move Kenley Jansen from that spot, so they'll probably lose him unfortunately. After that the article predicts the following players walk:

Mark Ellis, Michael Young, Edinson Valquez, Jerry Hairston Jr., Juan Uribe, Ricky Nolasco, Chris Capuano (why wasn't he on the NLCS roster? I still don't get it), and Skip Shumaker.

Of the above, I'll be sad to see Mark Ellis and Capuano go, but the rest I can stomach. The article says the club wants to get younger, so they essentially would like to follow the Cardinals' model as much as they can (who doesn't/wouldn't?), which I like. I wonder if they make another large pitching signing considering they're liabel to lose a few of their starters. I personally wouldn't mind throwing in some minor league guys in and developing them, mainly Fife and Magill (dat Simi Valley bias), to see what they've got.

EDIT -- I don't feel like I mentioned this explicitly enough -- I am VERY glad to see Michael Young leaving. Seeing that dude get such pivotal at-bats in the playoffs after having so many players come through the team I'd have liked to be batting over him was hard to watch. I'd have rather them have called up Elian Herrera, who did nothing but impress me every time he got a shot, to bat instead of Michael Young. Fuck.

Bump, Greinke wins Silver Slugger, etc.

EDIT -- The Brewers took Elian Herrera off of waivers, apparently. Sucks, every time the team called on him he seemed to deliver and he was extremely versatile, hopefully he gets a fair shake in Wisconsin.

I think his personality is awesome, he performed very well but think he will pursue a closer's contract. I really hope I'm wrong and they retain him as the setup man.

Paco showed a shitload of promise during the regular season even though he shit the bed during the post-season and Howell is serviceable. Bellisario is hit-or-miss, when he's on he's as effective a relief man as they have and when he's bad he's really bad.

The movement on his pitches when he is on is so good I just laugh at how badly the hitters get torn apart, but when he's bad he just drops them hits after a pitch or two, which really sucks.

What's everybody think of Jose Dominguez? I feel like he can be like one of them St. Louis relievers who has a ton of velocity if he can improve his movement a bit.
