they probably start CC on three games rest

I think it depends. if we can win at least 1 of the first 2 then probably no.

Pitch counts for Verlander and CC really don't mean shit unless they are astronomical.

Its CC, since when has pitch count ever been a factor

last year didn't he get hammered coming in short rest?

He didn't have true short rest last year. Everything was so fucked up because of the rain thing.
Either way, if you pitch cc after 3 days for game 3 you can have him on full rest for a potential game 7.
