I don't understand why the radio jockeys aren't taking about how well Smoak is hitting now. Over the last 30 days he's been hitting with a .950+ ops. They keep just talking generically that our young core needs to produce. Smoak has been as of late. His obp is high, his hits are a starting to fall and his season stats aren't looking awful any more. He is at .750 ops on the season now, sure that isn't good, but not long ago it was down in the .550 range, that is a huge climb. The best part is, he had been doing it the right way, he is walking almost once every 6 plate appearances. He isn't swinging at garbage as often as well.
He still looks like he is trying to hit a homerun with every swing
Lucky his groundballs are finding holes tho
