A lot of it has to do with whatever the Astros do with their pitchers. They take these guys with high spin rates and turn them into monsters. Cole is nothing like the pitcher he was with Pittsburgh. He was just under a strikeout/9 as a Pirate.

Same can be said with Charlie Morton.

Whatever the Astros are teaching their pitchers to do is working.

Very poorly managed game by cards skipper. NEVER should have put Wain-o back out in the 8th. Didnt have pitchers warming for Martinez, who has been anything but lights out.
Cost them the game. Starting to miss Matheny.

Also sending Bader after pitcher was obv looking for it. How many times did he throw or fake a throw to Bader? Somewhere around 10 times I think. What a surprise pitcher threw him out by a mile..... just dumb.
