I don't agree with it being luck.. they're a well run organization and every guy they call up to place an injured manages to hit during that span.

i agree that the fan base, myself included, is lucky to have such a successful organization year in and year out.

But this current season is certainly not lucky. The players have earned every single bit of it.

Definitely. I'm amazed at what the Cardinals have done this year with the significant injuries. Just shows you how deep they are/were in the minors when you can still maintain the best record by quite a bit with losing an ace, and Holliday/Adams production. The pitching has been phenominal.

The Cardinals are now and have been for a while what the Cubs will be for the next 6+ years; consistent and loaded with depth. They built the majority within their system.



On a side note, C.J. Edwards made his debut today!
