Going back through a May 14 game against the Phillies, Freeman is hitting .388 (26-for-67) with eight doubles, a homer, and nine RBIs in his past 17 games. He’s had four straight multi-hit games, and five in his past six, three of which were three-hit games.
Part of me thinks this really got going in earnest when Freeman went back home and hit in front of his father and hometown friends in Anaheim against the Angels. He went 4-for-12 in that series, and since going 2-for-5 in that middle game on May 21, he’s hit .413 (19-for-46) in 11 games with seven doubles, a homer and seven RBIs and multi-hit games in seven of them
