CC has been pretty shit himself. He's clearly injured.

We will be good if we sweep the Jays tonight, hopefully take 2-3 from the Oakland A's going into Minnesota.

At least the Oakland series has a good pitching order for us.

I think the whole idea of CC pitching tomorrow instead of today has something to do with the Yanks knowing that this Jays game is MUCH easier win than A's...Like, Hughes can give up 5 HRs today and still win.
You put your more elite pitchers in tougher situations.
This game means nothing when you know you will win. I saw odds today at like 2.7:1 ....

It's pretty funny how people still continue to underrate Phil. He has a 3.24 ERA over his last 19 starts. Sure he's still prone to the occasional clunker but he's as good of a #3 as you can ask for in the ALE.

I am guessing come playoff time hopefully that it will be CC/Hirok/Pettitte?

Philbert being 4. Can't ask for a better rotation, it's weird it's usually the pitching and no the offense we have to worry about.

That is correct. I actually think if Nova continues to pitch well, he would get the nod at game 4, assuming we make it. I say that only because Phil has had experience in the pen and gaudy numbers to boot. Will never forget that game 3 of the 2007 ALDS where he relieved Roger Clemens and threw shutout ball for 3+ innings.

As much as I love Nova, I'm not comfortable with him starting in the playoffs. Hes either a ton of strikeouts or a ton of XBH, and its scary to think about it. But maybe if he has a short leash you can just throw Philbert in there to relief if needed. As far as CC goes, this team is only going as far as he can take us this year.
