=/ I'm not fond of this trade either.

Too many players come full circle...

What I don't understand is they were obviously loading up with DH/1B/Catcher like players. Then traded this one, why not just not waste the time on Jason Bay and keep the one that can catch

Well bay must likely won't be on the team. This move does open a slot for zunino to come up early, we would need a temp second catcher. The thing I don't like its that we gave up 3 years of a player for 1 year of an equally valuable player.

Probably resign Olivo or someone until Zunino is ready

This.

I like the Morse trade alot.

Just think of it like this...we give up a guy who plays maybe half the games for a guy who will be playing everyday

racking up 25+ hrs. our lineup is alot better than what people think right now

It might be a decent move for now because Morse is playing more often than Jaso, however if we don't resign Morse we will lose out in the long run.

Smoak penciled in at First, Morales penciled in at DH.

Bringing in a veteran arm hopefull. As is his idea of the rotation is Felix, Iwakuma and then most likely Beavan Ramirez and Noesi.

And on the infield:

On whether he'd use Michael Morse at shortstop: "I might let him play third base. Just because behind Andino, depending who makes the team, we need another guy in case we pinch run Andino and he happens to be in the game and somebody else gets hurt and we need another infielder, we can move Seager or Andino or Brendan or whoever, we need to have somebody come in and play in the infield. I am going to have Seager play some shortstop this spring so we have a third behind Ryan and Andino. He's not a guy who'll start there, but just in case late in a ballgame when we're maneuvering, we have the flexibility to do that."
