Oberholtzer will prove he is boss once again tonight, with 0 earned runs.

What do you mean tonight? The game just started. One out in the top of the 1st. What time zone are you in? LOL

Damn, L.J. Hoes just went yard. 1-0 Astros in the top of the 1st right now.

I'm going to say that Jason Vargas is overrated if we end up winning today.

2-0 Astros in the top of the 2nd. Jeez, come on Angels. Wake up. LOL

Robbie Grossman is on fire. Another RBI double. It's 3-0 Astros now.

Really Jason Vargas? Really? Getting hit by a Triple-A lineup.

Three-run homer for Matt Dominguez.

Wow, Astros re-take the 6-3 lead in the top of the 7th after the Angels worked so hard to tie it up at 3.

Looks like we're going to win. Please tell me the Marlins or White Sox won? LOL

LOL, no game is easy for our bullpen to close out.

7-5 Astros lead in the bottom of the 9th. The Angels have runners on 1st and 2nd base with 1 out.

Peter Bourjos facing Kevin Chapman, who the Astros recently promoted from the minors. Peter Bourjos grounded into a 4-6-3 double play to end the game. Astros win 7-5 and take two out of three against the Angels. We nearly swept them if not for the 10-inning loss yesterday.

The Astros are now 9-7 against the Angels this year.

Kevin Chapman is the young lefty reliever we acquired from the Royals once upon a time. The kid may have some real poise.

And sweet. The Marlins beat the Giants 6-5 and the White Sox beat the Twins 5-2.
So we didn't lose any ground for the first pick despite winning today.

1. Astros 41-82
2. Marlins 47-75
3. White Sox 49-74

Still a comfortable seven-game lead in the loss column. And now we only have 39 games left.

We start a three-game series at Texas tomorrow night: Jarred Cosart (1-0, 1.15 ERA) versus Matt Garza (8-2, 3.40 ERA).
What a great pitching matchup. Cosart has been brilliant and should be 6-0 but 5 straight tough luck no-decisions instead.

It's a toss up tomorrow night. I think Cosart will pitch another six or seven solid innings. But watch him get another no-decision. Matt Garza is good but easily rattled at times. We'll probably score a couple of times off him. We should bunt a lot and utilize our team speed. We did score 4 runs off Garza a little over a week ago.
