Astros will be good around the same time cubs will be, 2015-2016, just wait it out

We're going to make some noise in the AL West by as early as 2015 or 2016. I want to have a real rivalry with the Rangers and whoever else: Angels. Athletics or Mariners.

Yeah, i feel 2015 is the year we will be starting to get it together, and compete in the division, with hopefully some playoff appearances not too far away from that.

So we're going for 3 #1 picks, all back to back? How the fuck is that possible.

Yes. It looks like we'll clinch the first overall pick a third straight year. Carlos Correa, Mark Appel and likely Carlos Rodon will be our top pick next June. Both Correa and Appel are playing very well in the minors right now. It's possible both of them are on the big league roster some time next season.

But Correa is so young (18 right now) and may need another year in the minors. I anticipated that he's the next Alex Rodriguez, a non-cheating version (no HGH or PEds), who could be playing in the Majors by 19 years old. If we draft Carlos Rodon, he's already big league ready and could be up within a month (next July) if not the start of 2015.

Ketih Law recently saw Carlos Rodon pitch for Team USA a month ago. Says he could shut down any MLB lineup right now. That's how good he is. This is why it's very important for us to get the first pick again. It's not because I'm greedy or want to see the Astros lose. A left-handed power pitcher who can K a ton of guys is very hard to find these days.

What position were they? I remember one was a SS.

Carlos Correa will be a shortstop despite his growing size. Some people have suggested that he may make a move to third base but that's unlikely. Mark Appel and Carlos Rodon are starting pitchers. We also have a highly rated center field prospect named George Springer and a power hitting first baseman prospect named Jonathan Singleton, both of which have some serious home run hitting potential. I'm hoping both of those guys are called up on September the 1st. They can benefit from a month of MLB experience to give them confidence going into spring training in March.

Great win, Good news is White Sox won, but Marlins lost, but we still sitting pretty with that #1 pick.

Also iso a Chris Carter sig if possible, will pay accordingly thanks.

The Astros are 8-6 against the Angels this year with 5 games left against them. It was 19 total games. They have already performed much better than I anticipated. I thought we would go 2-17 in those games and the Angels would win the AL West this year. The funny thing is our payroll ($24 million) is merely a fraction of what their payroll is ($142 million).
