I have a hard time getting excited lately.

I mean even if we get red hot and win like 15 games in a row or something... Who will get a nice contract elsewhere because of it ? How many guys exactly are we going to lose ?

You had to enjoy seeing Alvarez gun down someone tho

But I feel ya. Our jew owner will let everyone walk, as usual.

So just for the sake of prediction-making

Chen: walk
Davis: walk
Wieters: walk
O'Day: walk
Pearce: keep
Parra: not sure, but guessing keep

I think the first 3 are pretty obvious. Once the bidding gets high, the Orioles tap out.
We don't really need Wieters anyway.
O'Day is kind of a luxury like Andrew Miller was; we aren't going to pay top-dollar for a reliever who isn't a closer.
Pearce is one of those boring re-signs that we know is coming
Parra is one I'm really not sure about. I guess it'll depend on who we're bidding against.

Always liked wieters, one of the premier defensive catchers and has some pop as well
Too bad he hasn't been able to stay healthy the last couple seasons
I'm sure there are a lot of teams that would be willing to take a risk on him

I enjoyed that Wieters HR off of Revere's glove lol

Some bad blood, glad we could spoil a little on the way out.

Who would have thought seeing Chis Davis hit HRs would be depressing.

#46 & #47 on his last day as an Oriole

Also fuck the Astros for not taking care of business and beating the Diamonbacks. We could have been the beginning of the end of NYY's season

expiration bump

Angelos is supposedly getting involved /w the Davis negotiations. This either means he seriously wants to sign him, or perhaps more accurately, this means he wants to have people think he's serious while low-balling him some shitty 4-year deal.

Clevenger was not going to make the Orioles roster. Glad we got something for him, even if it's just 1 year of Trumbo

/kind of wish they would start getting high average hitters instead of whiffers instead though. I guess Buck doesn't believe in on base percentage

7 years, 150 mil on the table for Davis

I wonder how much more he has been offered by the big money teams
