The way Wieters calls a game is really amazing. He can hit. 220 this year for all I care if he keeps calling them like this.

I just hope we stay on this roll, and build some early confidence in all of our players.

Like in 05's first half, when someone would slump, someone else would pick up the slack.

I remember Miggy was in like a 0-11 slump, going into the 4th game of a series vs det or laa, but someone else was like 6-12 with 3-4 hrs and 8+ rbis, was great.

This team is nothing like 05 IMO. The pitching is 10x better and the lineup is stacked 1-9.

Just read all of Kubatko's blogs. Britton, Wieters, Connor, Buck all said Britton was off today.

If "off" is 6 innings of 1 run ball just imagine how good he is going to be once he is on and has his sinker working.

ive been trying to tell people all day that he was off lmao. He did not execute his sinker on the outside against righties like he usually does.

But it is starting out the same way I remember it did that year, like in the first game 3-7 hitters went 1-19 combined, but the top and bottom hitters put runs on the board.

Even though not many runs were needed with Guthrie's stellar performance.
