I read that people wanted him to.. and he responded with he would.
Indians said no.

inb4 Cubs let the dude from Rookie of the Year throw out first pitch.

Should be someone like Billy Williams or Ryne Sandberg that's IF they advance. Still far from over. And for the Indians; should be like Omar Vizquel, Lofton, Albert Belle, Justice, Alomar etc.

Would have loved to see Ernie Banks do it if he hadn't passed.

Cubs usually let "Henry Rowengartner" throw out the first pitch once a year at least

Best matchup in history would be 2001 Mariners vs 2016 Cubs. Two of the best run differentials in history, one team who hasn't won a world series vs one who hasn't won in 110 years. Not sure how the story line or competition could be better.

Braves vs Twins (even though Twins admitted they cheated and pushed air in during them pitching and pushed air out during their at bats)
Braves vs Indians

Top two. Not even homering.

plus the Kent Hrbek/Ron Gant thing

I think that's apparent.
Indians have done a lot with not much.
Cubs have had a stacked team all year.. and top 5 in payroll.

First pitch at Wrigley has to be Steve Bartman. Would be the most poetic storybook shit of all time.
