Hes a great pitcher, but his mediocre k/9 holds him back from being one of the few elite. He'll have to beat his peripherals considerably to win a cy young unless the elite AL pitchers all get injured/have shitty years.

Thought about going with Hamels/Darvish, but ultimately decided on Gray. Not big on many others in the AL

Because most of the top teams didn't just become shit.
Sure the Reds got worse, but division leaders didn't necessarily just die.
