Bro, when you're rich, you don't spend like you make 50k a year lmao.

13 million is over 15% of his ENTIRE CAREER EARNINGS in ONE year. He's stupid for walking away from it. Whatever the reason.

Idk, I disagree.

I despise my job. It is by far the best job I can have at this point in my early career, and every 3 months that I am here really helps my future job prospects. However, I am prepared to quit every single day.

My wife is much more important to me than my current job or any future job prospects. If LaRoche would rather spend the next year of his life as close to his kid/family as possible, I can totally understand and respect that.

Your kids only grow up once. Who knows how much time he'll be able to spend with his kid once he is out of HS. I totally understand his decision.

You do your job for your future job prospects.
He doesn't need those. Two different worlds.

Seven more months of his life and he gets $13 million. And it's not like his son is on the brink of moving out either. He clearly has spent tons of time with him over the past few years

I am not disagreeing I think its insane what he did, but we don't know how well he saved up his money. He probably did a good job because you only hear about the idiots who blew it all. There are plenty of millionaires who don't live in millionaire homes.

white sox are mad sketchy on this one. When he was with the nationals, his son was allowed be there all the time and they agreed before he came that it would be ok. He grew up doing the same thing with his dad, laroche is doing the right thing

It's gotta be his production, its like when you just get sick and tired of someone you look at every little thing they do and it irritates you.

every day bud... imagine youre at work and one of your co workers you see every single day has his son around him all the time.

every thing you say, from stories, jokes, weird every day adult life, needs to be sorta filtered.

i have a feeling a player or two said something about being less comfortable with laroche's son there, so the white sox tried to please everyone.

unfortunately, laroche isnt good enough to justify them bending the rules in his favor, and he got butthurt.

from all i have heard about this story, im 100% on the white sox side. theyre trying to build a winning culture, something different from the last few seasons. almost any sane person on this earth would say "yea, you know what, youre right. ill only bring my son to half the games. he can still enjoy being around the ballpark more than any other child in america."

in the locker room too.
been multiple players that have said the kid should be in school and not traveling with the team everywhere.

after i've read more reports i agree with white sox even though i like laroche.

Baseball isn't daycare. It's their job, whether they're super athletes or not.
