Did you forget Nava is still in the league?

Chris Coghlan will take him on any day.

Meanwhile Casilla and his 4 BB/9 is still your closer.

Bullpens win Championships. Even MadBum will tell you that in Game 7.

Royals long reliever in AAA > Giants pen

says something

And 4 members of our bullpen have 3 rings lol. We've had one of the best bullpens in baseball since 2010

Can't just go back to days when Brian Wilson was good. In the last three seasons they have the 3rd worst aggregate reliever WAR in baseball.

Meanwhile, El Duque has 4 rings. Doesn't mean he's good. Like I told the other guy, don't be like the Yankees.

First smart reply to this thread. May the lord bless you Profar. P.S. I live in Dallas now and spread the word of Bannister around town. It's infectious.

using WAR, better yet not specifying bwar or fwar - which both have dramatically different evaluations for pitchers - to project overall value to a bullpen

missouri fan logic/10

Main difference is FIP is taken into consideration. Using FIP alone they place in the middle. So combining WAR and FIP they probably still place in the bottom third, possibly the bottom quartile. (Can't find a way to list fWAR over multiple seasons for a team, but if you can, go for it). Anyways, Giants bragging in 2016 are like the Phillies bragging about their two consecutive championship appearances. It's just pretty irrelevant nowadays. Only hope Giants have is the even year.

A combination of WAR (take your pick), FIP, IR score%, K rate, LOB%, and leverage indexes upon entrance/exit are the best ways to analyze a bullpen. Not just one.

But also lol at your last comment. 2nd highest odds to win the world series. Not a big fan of projection models either but pecota and ZiPS both view the Giants favorably as well.

Meanwhile world series odds, PECOTA, and ZiPS all called Royals a bottom 10 team last year. Very accurate.

May I add, the year before as well.
