it doesn't seem like that ridiculous a question to me. It wouldn't be that farfetched to think that the game could be over the instant the first runner touched home plate. By comparison, a similar situation in the NFL, a team doesn't kick an extra point when they score a TD in overtime.

So what you're saying is that you can in fact hit a home run without clearing the bases.
