i wouldnt carve that in stone quite yet, with trout at 40 hrs and literally carrying the angels right now. if they get to the postseason it might be closer than you think.

Donaldson has a higher fWAR anyway

look im not saying he aint the favorite for MVP.. just saying its not a complete lock.
if angels make the postseason, and trout keeps it up... just may be closer than everyone thinks... thats all.

since then, trout is absolutely killing it, while donaldson is playing subpar..

in the last 14 days, trout and donaldson both have played 12 games, this is before todays inputs (where donaldson hit a HR and trout went 3 for 4)

Trout: 12 GP, 3 2B, 6 HR, 11 RBI, 7 BB, 11 SO, .326/.423/.814
Donaldson: 12 GP: 2 2B, 1 HR, 3 RBI, 8 BB, 14 SO, .213/.339/.319

in the next 9 days this could easily sway if donaldson keeps failing and trout keeps producing.
