Sure, he isn't the dominant beast he was prior injury, but this is his most taxing year in terms of IP and it's the year he's coming back from tommy john. there's nothing to worry about in terms of his talent or anything like that. the only thing we need to worry about is whether or not we'll be able to keep him/he'll want to stay. Cole Hamlols had plenty of bad starts, but he's also averaged 30+ starts and 200+ innings a season for like 9 years...
Every pitcher has bad starts, I wasn't talking about that. I'm talking about his ability to go deep into the season. I understand he's coming off TJ surgery, so he gets a pass somewhat BUT what will you say next year when he can't go the distance?
