Astros placed Hunter Brown on the 15-day IL today (retro 4/2) due to a right shoulder strain. RHP Christian Roa recalled.

No way! Just when things are looking as great as they possibly can get. We lose our Ace for at least two weeks.
And it's not like our starting rotation is all that deep without him. I only trust Tatsuya Imai and Lance McCullers Jr.

A right shoulder strain can occur while sleeping in the wrong position. Would rather it be something minor like that.
I'm a little surprised Spencer Arrighetti wasn't called up. He had 9 Ks and 0 hits allowed in Triple-A the other night.

Jose Altuve is only three hits shy of 2,400 and he will turn 36 years old next month.
Do you guys think he'll reach 3,000 career hits? He's hitting .321 entering today's game.
He's under contract through 2029 (age 39 season). But the 2027 MLB Lockout may hurt him.

Astros just scored three runs in the Top of the 5th to take a 3-0 lead.
Yordan Alvarez smashed a two-run homer. Just an MVP pace he's on.
He's also getting the 2000-2004 Barry Bonds treatment. So many walks.

Not good guys. Jake Meyers loses a bases loaded fly ball in the sun. All three runs score.
Athletics just scored 5 runs in the Bottom of the 5th to take a 5-3 lead. I jinxed this game.
That Sacramento ballpark. I've seen both teams this series drop at least four or five fly balls.

Yes! Christian Walker two-run homer. Astros tied the game 5-5 in the Top of the 7th. <3
Christian Walker is getting paid $20 million a year. Couldn't trade him. Sure glad we didn't.

Back to me crying on Easter Sunday guys. There's no crying in baseball though! Yes there is.

Athletics regain the lead 9-5 in the Bottom of the 7th. Put up 4 more runs due to sloppy defense.
Astros charged with two errors this game. Dropped fly ball and pop up. Leading to 5 Athletic runs.

Unless the Astros score a lot of runs in the 8th and 9th inning. Looks like we lost this series. A 6-4 record.

jake Meyers hit a home run. Altuve and Cam Smith knocked in a run.
If the Astros bullpen can just nail down some goose eggs. if only. LOL

OMG! Carlos Correa just gave the Astros a 10-9 lead in the Top of the 10th. What a game!
After Jose Altuve made a defensive web gem to save the game in the Bottom of the 9th.
Athletics nearly won with a walk-off RBI single. Altuve dove and threw home for the out.

Rooker homered to left (364 feet), Langeliers scored and Soderstrom scored.

No way!! The Athletics just won 12-10 with a walk-off, three-run homer in the Bottom of the 10th.

Unbelievable. Astros fought hard. Had a chance to win. Made too many mistakes in the field. 6-4 record. Four hours I invested.

The Astros had 29 hits and 24 walks in the last two games against the Athletics.
First time since 1900 (126 years) that a team has done that in consecutive games.

And despite all that we still lost the series. Just unbelievable really. I can't comprehend it.

Yordan Alvarez is hitting .400 with 4 homers and a crazy 1.478 OPS (1st in MLB) so far.
And mind you teams aren't shy about walking Yordan two, three or four times a game now.

Astros will probably have a scoring party at Colorado. Can we pitch well enough to win?

No all-star ace Hunter Brown and no all-star closer Josh Hader until late April or early May. It is what it is.
