The Braves signed Albies to 7yr/$35m extension after extending Acuna about a week ago for 8yrs/$100.

Some very good deals for the Braves, but what are the players agents thinking? Is there a strike coming up or something? The Acuna deal was a steal, but now they just topped that deal by swiping Albies for 7 years.

Seems to good to be true. I've thought they robbed both them instantly both times they announced the deals.

8/100 is normal when extending 2nd year players nothing new.

I mean there about 100 other players I could name, maybe not as exclusive of deals as Acuna Jr. got, but it's nothing new lol.

Edit- Ryan Braun got a huge contract at the time after 1 year (hit .300 with 30+ homers) extended 8 years for 45mil.

Albies would of made more through arbitration if he didn't improve and he's 22 I think, so he is only gonna get better. I thought he would get closer to 8-10m a year in an extension. Just a steal for the Braves on that deal. I'm a Braves fan, but I wish he got paid more than that.

Agreed. He's definitely worth it. My uncle who taught me how to man the grill. Was from Georgia. He was a big time braves fan. I use to follow you guys when I was a kid.. chipper Andrew , and those three pitchers was delicious! 😍
