That's > 4 million over 11 seasons lol. The 34,294 # is just for 2018... that's where your math is wrong.

Say they averaged 34,294 errors a season, for 10 seasons that's 342,940 errors i believe. So that would be roughly 8.57% (almost a tenth of time) umps are incorrect on ball/strike calls by my math.

Ahhh yeah I didn't see that it was just for 2018. Yeah I could see them replacing the umps but at what point do you let human error be a part of sports? Would they replace nfl refs?

Can't compare the 2 sports man... a strike zone shouldn't be a subjective thing. A strike should be a strike and a ball should be a ball.

But then would they do different height strike zone for different sized players? I understand where you're coming from, it's just how far will they take it you know?

A robot could formulate that with math fairly easily if that's the way you'd wanna go.
