Do all pitchers hop over the baseline when they are walking back to the dugout after an inning?

Or is it just a quirk for some and others just walk normally and occasionally step on the baseline?

what if a pitcher has been slumping?

couldn't he try stepping on the line every time and then see if that changes his luck?

so are you saying you think there are some pitchers who don't share that particular superstition and don't check the ground to make sure they step over it?

I think part of it is from youth baseball too. Lime is expensive and you arent supposed to fuck up the lines.

I think some people just want to watch the world burn, and step on any cracks or line they see. Most people, though, don't step on any lines or cracks. Especially pitchers.
