Quick summary of rules:
AL-Only, standard 5x5
Auction league, $260 salary cap for the auction (Must stay above 175 during season, and below 315 -- fluctuates due to FA pickups and trades)
9 Pitchers, 2 Catchers, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, CI, MI, 5x OF, 1 Util
Once you buy a player at the auction, you have to keep them in your lineup unless they get sent down to the minors or go on the DL. Otherwise, you can't pick up players from the free agent pool unless they're on waivers.
Keeper Rules:
1. You can keep unlimited number of players, but salaries go up $5 per year. You can "franchise" one player per year, his salary doesn't go up. Can't franchise same player twice in a row, but if a player gets traded he can be franchised again. (So if someone franchised Mike Trout, then traded him to me, I could franchise him again to keep his price the same).
2. Players in the free agent pool are $10 when you pick them um
NOW, this is what I need advice on... I currently have the following pitchers:
Yu Darvish $12 to keep
Carlos Rodon $6 to keep
Danny Salazar $6 to keep
Corey Kluber $19 to keep
I got offered the following:
Lorenzo Cain ($19 to keep), Matt Wieters ($17 to keep), and Sonny Gray ($25) to keep
For ANY one of the pitchers above (all 3 for one). I can pick which one.
I'm leaning towards accepting for Kluber or Rodon... but I'm on the fence.
