Assuming they don't make the playoffs they will have not only been unsuccessful at defending any of their titles but they would not have even managed to make the playoffs one time following a win. Are they the greatest flukey team of all-time?

They're like the New York Giants of baseball, lucking into multiple championships over a short time despite being mediocre over that same period

yea i wouldnt call 3 times a fuke... and they arent the ny giants. theres 162 games in a season, not 17.
any baseball team that earns their right EARNS it. in the week a football team is preparing a division leader could lose 5+ games to a division rival.. its happened.
by the end of a baseball season theres not 1 guy at 100%, they dont get week long recovery times for 1 game... they even play 2 games in 1 day..

baseball postseason is pure adrenaline. whoever goes farther tried harder.

Lol

First NL team since the Stan Musial Cardinals of the 40's to win 3 world series over a 5 year span

2011 buster posey injury
2013 historically bad offense
2015 every starter except buster/duffy, including 5 starting pitchers, got injured.

it's baseball. can't win it every year
also, since you'd have no way of knowing this as a Dodgers fan - long runs into october deplete your pitching staff and give your whole team shorter rest for the next year, increasing the chance of injury.

I'd argue that, I imagine most teams try just as hard but not all teams had Bumgarner plowing through the field.

Let me fix this for you:

2011 -- excuses
2013 -- excuses
2015 -- excuses

They've had three (3) chances simply to make the post-season and they've failed every fucking time.

I'm not claiming you have to "win it every year", I'm just claiming that when I think of dynasty I think of a team accomplishing a lot in successive years, i.e. defending their title, they haven't even been in the field one time.

Gibson's at bat in '88 > your shitball franchise.
