degrom wasn't struggling, and taking out our ace early has bit us in the ass before. It doesn't seem like it will really matter in this game as we're adding some insurance runs in the 9th, but it was a typical terry move. Degrom's cruising and gives up 1 hit..oh no he's at a 100 pitches, gotta take him out! No..

team is on a 3 game losing streak....let him work

he wasn't laboring....a pitcher at 80 pitches could be more tired than a pitcher at a 100....it depends on the game

we're also trying to make the postseason. 3 game losing streak...let the ace do his job. If he left him in and he walked the next batter or gave up another hit, take him out....but he needs a longer leash than 1 hit given up in the inning at 100 pitches

arguably =/= he is. i'll take a step back though and say he's arguably top 5.

Or if you're talking about my other point....terry is doubly bad because in tight games he gives our aces a short leash versus in blowouts he lets them pitch unnecessarily;y long



also...LOL at our bullpen. major weakness for the playoffs (if we make it)
