hey guys,

just started getting into snowboarding around the last year or so, and sick of borrowing friends boards so was wanting help on a type to buy. i don't know a whole heap about them, and I only go a couple times a year, being that im australian and the season isn't all that long..

what i do know though is i want something around a size 154, for powder slope kinda stuff and my budget is around $400-500aud without bindings, and possibly up to $700 with bindings... can anyone recommend a decent board for a cheap-medium budget?

thanks :)

Forum or LIB tech

BUT

In australia you can only buy shitty boards unless you want to overpay for a good one. Because of trade agreements between the good brands and australia they wont ship via internet.

My advice is to buy american or canadian and use a freight foward to send it to you. You will save hundreds and not have to settle for piece of shit.

i've got a burton, i think it was 250ish, then some burtons custom bindings, they are sick imo. i think they were like 125, this all being 375USD. I carve down the mountain like a champ in style, cruise a sweet powder run when it snows hard, and play in the park on rails and boxes and meduim sized jumps. I have two other brothers one with a burton set up close to mine and one with some other weird heel slip in bindings-cool, but prefer burtons customs. and I cant remember his board brand. Anyhow, i've ridden them all, and have been most pleased with burton for price and function. Hope my ramble about snowboards helps, gl hf
