sport is a loose term for competition so i guess so... but in my own definition of "sport" is a competition that involves skill and athletic ability more so than the ability to consume alot of food and drink a shit ton of water before hand

a sport is a competition between who people or teams in which feats of athleticism are tested. athleticism involves physical training, skill, talent, endurance, and strength. Merely having a special skill, like being able to drive well, hit a tiny ball really far, or roll a ball into a set of pins does not test one's athleticism; these activities test a small niche skill that one has honed over time and nothing else. Likewise, having the capacity to eat exorbitant amounts of food is not a sport because it does not involve strength, talent, or skill; it merely requires an absence of shame, money for food, and a large stomach.
