Hello. I've been reading random forums about 44. revolvers and I think I've come to a choice: the Colt Anaconda or the Ruger Super Redhawk. Anyone have experience with these guns? so far from what I understand they are both fine revolvers but the Ruger can handle heavier loads and is tougher. Also the Anaconda is much more expensive and harder to get a hold of one.

colt anaconda is more of a safe queen/collectible/display

id get the ruger if you wanna shoot often

but i like the style of the colt more

Can't speak on the Anaconda, though Colt in general manufactures good firearms.

The Super Redhawk is nice to shoot; our family has one. Good action, trigger pull out of the box is appropriate for the heft of the pistol. (Wouldn't want a light trigger on anything 'cept a race gun, anyways.)

Eh. Politely disagreed.

Though, I s'pose it also depends on how often you go shooting / how long you go shooting for. I don't know if I'd enjoy firing a .44 for, say, six hours.

as long as you can use akimbo on them, either one is a great fit.
