Hey guys

I had bad luck a few weeks ago and twisted my knee on a birthday party
the results: torn menisc and torn acl

alrdy had my first surgery where they fixd the menisc and cut off the torn part
now im fully able to walk again, cycling and swimmin
and in 2 weeks ill have my 2nd surgery, where theyll use a part of the patelle tendon
to reconstruct my acl

I asked my doctor when I am going to be able to step on the board again and he said about ~6months
my physiotherapist said itll take about ~12months

Im not quite sure if id believe my doc, whos actually one of the leading knee specialists in germany
or my physiotherapist who helps people get back to their sports day by day

of course Im not going to w8 6months and then jump down the next handrail
I just want to know when ill be able to ride, do flatground tricks and stuff like that

Did any1 of u guys had a acl surgery yet:
How many days did it take u to walk normally again?
How many weeks did it take to get back to ur sport
What sports are u doin? (skateboarding maybe?)

please share ur experiences with me :)

Still remember when Carson Palmer torn his ACL back in '05 against the Steelers in the wildcard playoff game.
