In Australia there is a game called State Of Origin, its considered by alot of people as the main game/games (above international and grand finals) not by me though but... it is always heated and passionate, unlike usa all star games (which are choosen by which team you are playing for) this is choosen on where u played your first football game (for a amatuer feeder club or wateva. not first first but first 1 that matters) so no matter what team you go on to play for you will always be playing for either nsw or qld. these games have the highest tv audience(each game is always top 5 with 1 of them always being number 1), highest average live audience and is usually the most talked about games all year, it is a 3 game series. (in Australia ofc)

how come usa allstar games are usually taken as a joke, do you think that having an alleigence that doesnt change such as being born on east or west would help this?

some1 post vid for me plz. also feel free to donate to my eniac scam.

I was wondering this also (Im from NZ). I understand for basketball that its just a show to get some highlights and players are worried about injurys, but still some competitiveness would be nice.

they play for home court dont they? something on the line and (possibly ignorant) not as high chance of injury as it is a non contact sport. at least one sport does.

It's pretty serious in baseball....

Winner gets home field advantage in world series...which is a big deal

But players still have fun.
