although these guys have a lot of technique the equipment is very very different than normal drivers..usually 3-4 inches longer club length and "low" loft for a driver. not to mention just different club heads

clubheads are the same (yea low lofted because of the technique they use), maybe a little thicker in the face actually to keep from breaking. yes shafts are longer though, but I think the max is 50 inches.

this long drive competitor came by the course i used to work at and he was telling me all about these random club heads guys use. i had never heard of the brands. usually were all oversized like hippos or just different. makes it better that they use standard ones that most golfers use.
