Decided to create a volleyball thread because there isn't one up in the stickies.. so I would like to get to know any volleyball players on this forum and I'll start with my background.

Name's Brando, I played for Leigh High School's Varsity team for 4 years, gone to CCS 4 times getting 9th, 8th, 5th, and 3rd place. I also played in clubs like CCVC, CYS, and Beach Cities Volleyball. My main position(s) are Libero and Setter. I like to work on all positions so I'm a well rounded player, but I'm still working on improving my mental skills including anticipation and knowledge of "knowing" where the hitters place their hits. Volleyball is my favorite sport been playing for 5 years now and going to transfer soon to UC Davis so I can hopefully join their club as well

If anyone decides to tell their volleyball experiences here it would be greatly appreciated so I can get to know a few more people who have the same interests, dislikes, and what nots.. anyway volleyball is where its at and look forward to seeing what you guys have to say~

my favorite brand of vball shoes / clothing is asics n mizuno .. i've recently retired my 2 year old Asics Gel Rocket 3 and getting the Mizuno Wave Lightning 5 sometime tomorrow before practice

edit: anyone heard of spring soles improving gameplay? I'm leaning towards getting some for my vball and regular shoes..

dude i love vb, never really played it here cuz its strictly a girl sport...fail but yeah i would have played all 4 years of highschool. im not to bad at setting, but i can play just about anywhere

by girls sport i mean, the coaches wont let guys play...bullshit i know

yes i hate the money issues with a guys vball team... although very true that going to see girls vball games is very nice ;]

btw I've coached 3 varsity teams n 2/3 won their leagues :] its also not a bad job peakin at the cute ones once in a few hours... bs every few seconds when i feel real ninja

yeah i dont think i could get a job coaching them here. like shit is really messed up, and only females can coach the girls team except for softball. the gender problems here a fuxed my friend

anyways anyone like to play recreationally? I do this at a few community colleges.. pretty fun
