All i can say is that i am interested about getting into the sport myself, but unsure what style/type/model of bike i should be getting, i am a complete beginner and just need a little guidance to help point me in the right directions to make the correct purchases, i do currently have a mountain bike at the moment, its a muddyfox, has back and front suspension and well i spent around £300 on this, if anyone could post models of bikes or are willing to chill and have a conversation with me and give me some advice i would seriously appreciate this, thanks

if you want a decent downhill bike you need to spend like 8-10k $. Check out Kona Stinkys that is a really good bike and not to expensive. I dont know any better bike for that price. If you wanna ride dirt bikes build your own :) My choice would be Dr. Jekyll with marzoozi 66rc and Halo sas wheels.

Edit: I just saw that you was from UK. Check www.chainreactioncycles.com.

Sorry for bad english i hope you understand :)
