Well done Bolt. First athlete to win 3 gold medals in the 100m race :hail:

Let's see if he can do the same in the 200m and relay race. Definitely looks promising, although 9.80 does seem a bit subpar for his inhuman standards.

Andre De Grass won Bronze in the mens 100m final, woot Canada! B)

Yeah that was impressive. We'll have to see if Gatlin has cleaned his system out enough before testing before we can know if it will be upgraded to silver.

He looked in good form but he didn't show the same top speed as we've seen in previous Olympic performances. I imagine his speed endurance is stills strong enough to carry him through the 200m.

I agree, but I have a bit more doubts regarding the relay race. Jamaica still has the best team and should win, but if Bolt is running at 9.8X then they're not as scary as in previous Olympics and probably not completely unbeatable.

Should be interesting. I would guess Jamaica will take it, but both Bolt and The Claw (hammy torn to the bone!) has sustained bad injuries in recent years. The USA has a strong team, led by Justin Gatlin (a.k.a. "keeps cheating but never gets suspended for life due to money and politics"). Sorry, that guy pisses me off :P Canada has a chance ... it's fairly open in general, but I don't know which guys some of the perceived weaker teams will be using.

I'm interested to see what happens in the men's 200m final.

Yep. Whoever scheduled the tennis event is an idiot. Why cram singles, doubles and mixed doubles all into one week if the tennis courts aren't going to be used at all once the tennis events end? It makes no sense. Nadal was scheduled to play 3 games in one day... that's insane. Grinding down the players like that hurts the tournament.

The russian synch swimming duo seems to get even more perfect in every Olympic event. Today's performance was amazing, I was surprised they didn't win by a larger margin.
