nope that's a pickerel northern pike are more gray in color. I cant say it was 6 lbs though but at least 5 lbs. the lake I fished at hasn't been open to the public for 10 years so there are some monsters in there seen a few 7+ lb large mouth got pulled out in front of my face as well. I even checked several sites to be sure that's what it was.

Here is some shrimp and cheesy grits I made the other morning after a quick outting with my net

pike and trout, I'll be very butt fuck no where this time, the only cabin around is at like 20 km and the ''main road'' is like 25 km away
I'm already excited xD

rustic camp too, no water, electricity or anything

we have a propane heating system(thanks god because there was still 2 feet of snow may 11th this year)

first fishing trip reserved
a couple more to go in the next months, then we'll wait for 1 or 2 last minute deal

it's so tough to get 3 times the same week at 3 different jobs, we'll see
it would be cool and feel more safe..I won't lie but it's pretty scary being only 2 while there is wolf and bear around(you hear them and you see they gave you a visit during the night when you Wake up)
