i think he played better than his stats suggest if you just look at that. He was a rookie last year and already is a good defender. Stepped up big time in the playoffs.

Edit: yup what dis said. He's the kind of player I think you take a shot on this late.

His per 36 minute stats were nice in the playoffs especially, like 17.5/7.5 or something like that. Really solid for a young player like that.

Round 11:
132. TUAlumni: Evan Fournier
Round 12:
133.TUAlumni: Elfrid Payton

I really like those picks tbh. Great value already and room for growth

Yep. Like I said... Great pick imo.

Thank you. Don't know who you are but I agree.

Fournier was a steal if you ask me

About time something took the goat Will Barton

Not a fan of Fourier but I think Payton and Smart went later than they are worth. I'd have taken I've if I wasn't overloaded on pgs already. Both show top 10 pg potential

BleacherReport on Bradley beal:

Almost 28 percent of his looks in 2015-16 came from that no-no area of mid-range jumpers, where he shot just 36.3 percent. Both numbers are an improvement from 2014-15, but the volume borders on unacceptable. He has also never posted an above-average defensive box plus-minus (DBPM), which shows how much better per 100 possessions the average defensive team is with a given player on the floor.

Lol are you trying to trash talk my players because I said I didn't like Fournier? Even though I called Payton one of the steals of the draft?

Oh, and you didn't mention it's from the article "Lock 'Em Up: Top 2016 NBA Free Agents Teams Can't Afford to Lose": http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2645399-lock-em-up-top-2016-nba-free-agents-teams-cant-afford-to-lose/page/4

And conveniently ignored the entire rest of the positive article:

In the end, though, none of this matters. The Washington Wizards cannot play hardball. They cannot try to broker a hometown discount.

According to Spotrac, Beal's cap hit is $14.2 million until he signs his next deal—well below his first-year salary under a max contract. If the Wizards want him to sit tight, refusing all outside offer sheets, until they unsuccessfully pitch Kevin Durant chase other free agents, they must promise him that max deal.

Except for the mostly extinct sign-and-trade route, letting him walk for nothing is the only alternative. The Wizards won't find someone to supplant him with the resulting cap space. Second-option scorers with Beal's three-point touch aren't available in excess—or likely at all.

Just three other players are averaging at least 16 points per game while shooting better than 39 percent from the outside since Beal entered the league in 2012-13: Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson.

Sorry this is more towards my dislike of the idea the sixers are offering him the max. I agree the Wizards have to offer him the max simply because if they don't they will get nothing in return.

This doesn't mean anything towards his value as this offseason you will see guys who don't deserve it get it simply because teams can pay it with the increase in cap.

Edit: Also, the part of the article you put in is essentially saying there likely won't be any free agents available better than him. (Batum and Conley excluded).

Just found it interesting you posted it in this thread immediately after I made a subtle comment that I personally wasn't a fan of one of your players.

I'd be shocked if you weren't trying (poorly) to insult my team with an article that was almost entirely positive about Beal.

It's especially odd given that I praised your other pick.

P.S. By definition, if a player gets paid the max that's what he's worth. That's literally what economic value is.

Nope, didn't say that at all. It explicitly mentioned that there aren't any players in the league that compare too Beal's three point shooting, except for the three they mentioned (Klay, Durant, Curry).

Honestly, I just now read that. I really didn't know who picked beal but I just remembered arguing it. It does look like that though so I can understand that thought process. I only saw the initial comment of the Barton goat pick.

Anyway, yes that line is about the entire league and I will agree with your max statement on value. The rest of the article was about this free agency though.
