I wish

the ''warm season'' is from mid june to mid august
then the temperature usually drop below 0 at night and rarely over 25 during the day
it's ok tho because the fishing quality is usually amazing when it's a bit cold

I'll be fishing 3 days on a lake known for 20+ pounds pike, 2-3+ pounds small mouth bass and big walleye
I can't wait, once again...lol

Just took my two younger boys out. Got a couple small spotted bass. Was good fun

I also have a fishing tournament in a week
and I would have fished in the wood on the 24th but there will be a thunderstorm....that's not good



my nephews and cousin keep asking to come with me but they are not old enough
I'm sure they would love it..it's gotta be so cool to see their face when they catch their first fish

I always take little kids panfishing. Bluegills, perch, crappie is almost always sucessful and they put up a good fight for a kid, especiallly a big crappie or gill. thats how i got my daughter into fishing, taking her blue gill fishing when they were bedding in early june and she was hooked so to speak! Now i spoiled her and took her river fishing for salmon and she hooked a 35" chinook. she no longer has interest in blue gills and " Only wants to catch the big fish dad" ....lol

I have them all the time, in fact I have had to wait for 9 deer to cross the driveway to take the kids to the bus stop. Now that its summer, they know they arent being hunted and just become a nuisance.
