the fish u catch in the wild allway taste better
I once cooked a trout right after I caught it...like 2 minutes later
I swear it was the best fish I've ever ate
It's the same with most stuff like that, especially if you cook it outdoors on a real fire (using the coals obviously not the fire to cook them). I love fresh venison back straps, when I kill a deer, I almost always cook one of the tenderloin right out in the woods. I have all the goodies in my backpack to cook a nice little meal.A vidalia onion wrapped in foil with about 1/4 stick of butter and a potato wrapped in foil too, and a seasoning pack with salt, pepper, garlic powder and seasoning salt. I make a little fire, slice up the tenderloin, onion and potato and make a foil pack and throw it right in the coals and flip it about 3-4 times in 20 minutes. It's one of the best things ever. I do the same when fishing on the river for salmon or steel head.I bring some lemon pepper, butter, seasoning salt, a little garlic and onion and foil pack it.
