bass, pike, musky and walleye are sometime in the same lake
and I have a bunch of accessories
like lure retrievers, a bunch of knives, scissors etc etc

even if i'd bring my stuff for only one species, I'd have to bring at least half of it

That's what I mean though. The lake I normally go to has Bass/Pickerel/Carp, but I only bring as much as I'm going to use. No need to have 5 of the same jig in the same color on me, even though I buy bulk and have a bunch in the house.

I have different tackle boxes for different kinds of fishing too. my bass/panfish is one box, My salmon/steelhead is another box, etc. Then in most of the boxes I have cases with setups in them so that's all I have to have out for quick changes, so I keep my tackle box closed most of the time too. I have flipped in a canoe with a floating tackle box, but it was open , and that's about all I got back was the floating box...lol

If you never lose a jig, you're not using it right.

I buy multiples of things I know work, you know the tried and true stuff. You always lose lures, its inevitable. One of my favorites for bass in lily pads is a purple weedless rubber worm, I never have less than 3 in my panfish/bass box, and usually it's more like 8-10 of em. line breaks, you hit snags, shit just happens, but if a lure is working I want to have a couple backups of the same thing at least, so if the fish are biting, I still have what they have been biting on. I'm one of those guys who buys 2 of almost everything though, so if the first one breaks I can use my back up until I can buy a new back up...lol It's just something my father instilled in me when I was young. If it's worth having and it's something you use on a regular basis, it's good to have a spare one handy if you can afford it.

i can't imagine buying twice the same thing..I'd need to have at least 3 tackle box(I'm about to buy a second tackle box)

during the summer, I usually spend 100-150$ per week on lures

it's a sort of bag, I'd say it's a medium sized
4 large tackle tray
a whole bunch of pockets full of lures
3 small tray

each lil square/rectangle you have in a tray is packed with 3-6 lures each
it's a bit of a mess but I allway prefered buying 4-5 more lures then buying another tackle box...i'm overdue I think lol

anyway the point of my first post was this 3k$ tackle box is now floating so i don't have to worry about that anymore :)

as long as you make sure you keep it closed when not in use, so if you somehow did get over turned all your tackle doesn't fall out of your floating box. Did you test it with all the lures in it also?
