Nobody in America really gives a shit about Hockey, just gonna be real about it.

That's why it's like the red headed step child of the 4 major sports.

Kind of like Soccer, nobody in the United States gives two shits about that either.

You're just making an ass out of yourself, now

Lol just look at the difference in athletes. Just by saying that, I think you can tell who I voted for. I'd say either version of football (proper or american) > hockey. Stop with the slow pace argument. That's just non-sense, and you clearly don't understand the game. There is so much strategy involved in football, sorry if you don't take the time to appreciate it. I'm not trying to bash hockey either, its just imo, football tops it. I have watched hockey enough to appreciate what they are doing, and understand it takes talent to do such things, but the gameplay is just not for me. With football, each play is based on attacking a type of defense and exploiting flaws, holes, weakness, or on the other hand, defending a new offensive attack each play. I had scholarship offers for football and soccer (NAIA for football, d1 for soccer), so please do not try to discredit my argument by simply calling me a nerd.

No you simply were indoctrinated to think a slow paved never actually playing sport is somehow more strategic then other sports.

Football was made to be strategic. Which is why they take breaks every 5 seconds. Its a slow sport.

Hockey bball and world football are fast paced strategic sports. Which is why the majority of Americans dont like it. Its to fast for them to understand. So football being for the slow minded is appealing to the masses in this country.

It also requires their players to think for themselves. Unlike in American Football, where they are simply being told what to do.

My thoughts exactly. No individual thinking. Just follow the coaches commands. And how many players on the team get to carry the ball? No ball handling skills required. Defeats the purpose of a ball sport.

Whatever you guys say. You're totally right, football is a sport for no talent hacks that aren't fit to grace the ice, so they are forced to to play a lower tier game such as football. Hah. Small mindedness is something I can't change, and I don't know why I'm arguing sports with people who have probably never made an athletic movement in their lives. Me > any of you. Really wish I lived near any of you so I could show you what a real athlete looks like, and school you in basketball, football, and soccer. I'd go out on a limb and say I could do the same to about 80% of you in hockey as well, just from the 1 year I played lol.

Nobody said that football players aren't outstanding athletes. Have you seen guys like AP? It's a different type of sport that's hard to compare. I am saying hockey requires different skills.
Not only do you have to be an outstanding athlete, you need to read and understand the game without the help of your coaches, hand-eye coordination and balance are more important, and skating and puck handling has to come to you as naturally as walking does.

If you'd ever played hockey you would realize that this takes more than a year

Uh, American's don't like bball?

rofl what, remind me again who the best basketball players in the world are again?

That's right, USA > the world and it's not even remotely close.
